Arcalea is a human nation in Vetia [1]. It consists of several smaller principalities, communes, city states and republics [2]. Throughout the world they are know mostly as the else free cities of Arcalea. [3]

Together with some parts of Destria, Arcalea makes up what is sometimes refereed to as the Iron Crowns. [3]

History[]

Arcalea was formed by the tribes the Glauca and Aeturi, who fought with Sunna during the liberation of Avras. They named their ancient fatherland in honour of Arcaleone, who fought side by side with Sunna and was slain by the Rat King in the last battle. [4]

Some Arcaleans consider themselves to represent the true lineage of Avras. [2]

Geography[]

Arcalea lies in southern Vetia [1]. It is home to several cities, among them are:

Religion[]

Religion is something that is mostly shared throughout Arcalea. Among that is the worship of saints, the first of which is called Themesis, which can be seen as a mystification of Sunna. [3]

Culture[]

Arcalea is one of the largest and most influential cultural centres of the human world. The first universities of mankind were born in Arcalea. They've also a part in the creation of some of mankind's greatest achievements [2], including great works of art and inventions. [3]

Economy[]

Arcalea is known for its merchant families [3], and ply their trade with the whole world. [6]

Mercenaries[]

The greatest source of income for Arcalea is their mercenary legions. [3]
