The Wasteland separates Vetia from Augea [1]. It borders the Makhar Steppe [2].
It is the home of many servants of the Dark Gods [1]. Daemons are even said to be naturally occurring in the Wasteland [3].
The Wasteland was created by the Infernal Dwarves, at the same time the Inferno was created [3]. The World Hymn describes events similar to this during the Eighth Age [4].
