Grunstein accompanied Beatrix von Ueblingen on her expedition to Naptesh, bringing expertise in translating Naptaan hieroglyphs. [1]

Death[]
During von Ueblingen's expedition to Naptesh, Grunstein came to witness proof that his theories about statues in Naptesh were true. The expedition encountered a Dread Sphinx which came to life before their eyes. Moments after it decapitated Grunstein. [4]
