Johannes Grunstein was a scholar of ancient history at the University of Narrenwald. [1]

Grundstein was known for his theories about the Naptaan priests animating statues to do their bidding. [2] [3]

Grunstein accompanied Beatrix von Ueblingen on her expedition to Naptesh, bringing expertise in translating Naptaan hieroglyphs. [1]

Grunstein was known to chew qat. [1]

Death[]

During von Ueblingen's expedition to Naptesh, Grunstein came to witness proof that his theories about statues in Naptesh were true. The expedition encountered a Dread Sphinx which came to life before their eyes. Moments after it decapitated Grunstein. [4]
