The White Mountains is a major mountain range in central Vetia.

Geography

The White Mountains lie in central Vetia, north of Arcalea, south of Sonnstahl and Volskaya, east of Equitaine, and west of the Sea of Gods. The rivers of Gewache, Volsk, Guêon and Frigido all have their source in the White Mountains. The Dwarven Holds of Nevaz Vanez, Nevaz Barim and Nevaz Derom are found in the White Mountains.

History

In the Fifth Age, it is said that the dwarves reclaimed the White Mountains. It is not known from whom and when they lost them, but presumably from the Orcs and Goblins or the Beast Herds.

In the late stages of the Eighth Age, Sunna is said to have rid the White Mountains of the hordes of Orcs and Goblins who lived there. This supposedly earned her the friendship of Arcaleone, who remained her ally until his death in Avras.
